According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Black people are more likely to die at early ages from all health-related concerns than their white counterparts. We aim to reverse that trend in our community by bringing resources to the heart of North Minneapolis.
Centuries of systemic racism have created a trust gap between Black and brown people and health providers. Live Your Healthy Lyfe is our community reclaiming our right to be healthy and happy, on our terms.
“Lyfe” is spelled with a ‘y’ to highlight that this event is about asking questions like ‘why’ and finding answers. Information is power and with it, we can make better health-related choices. We need to be our own catalyst for sustainable change, and now is the time to collectively reimagine a healthy Northside with action and input from Black voices and allyship.
Come and build your healthy lyfe with us.
Join us for the block party of the year where we celebrate community and investing in our health with music, food and more!
Connect with Black-owned businesses and health professionals to build your healthy lyfe. With activities for all ages, it's a "fun-for-the-whole-family" kind of party.
Walk away with a deeper understanding of how to care for the physical, spiritual and mental health of you, your family and your loved ones.
